appearance.
Environmental enhancement and increased access for wider public enjoyment
to the variety of water features.
As much consideration given to the rear aspects of properties as to the
front when considering planning applications.
In appropriate circumstances the provision of perspective drawings/sketches
showing proposed properties in relation to existing adjacent buildings
should be submitted.
Seating and other street furniture of good quality or special design which
will enrich the character of the village.
The replacement of modern LCC road signposts with traditional wooden signs.
The further clearance of overhead wiring in the village, commencing with
the Conservation Area.
Development of traditional farm buildings.
Small-scale commercial and community enterprises which are in keeping
with village life.
To Discourage
Development layouts that do not reflect the traditional character of
the village.
Building designs which do not blend with the style and scale of existing
buildings.
Building on the eight identified open spaces.
The use of materials not reflecting the character of the village; this
applies to new buildings and extensions to existing properties.
The use of high wattage exterior lighting on buildings.
