A number of seats are to be found within the village. They are of pleasing wooden construction and appreciated by the residents and the many walkers who come to the village.

There is one telephone kiosk, luckily of the old-fashioned red Gilbert Scott design in keeping with the village. There are three small post-boxes, one on Front Street, one on Rasen Road, and one on Thorpe Lane. Litter bins are strategically located around the village. There are no dog poop boxes.
Most of the electrical and telephone supply is by overhead cables and is an eyesore. It is pleasing to note that some have been placed underground.

By contrast with the usual highway signposts, road names and the Bowls and Tennis Club sign, those indicating business premises are unobtrusive and discreet.
There is no streetlighting in the village except for the Springfields Estate. Their design is out of character with the village.

Street lighting has been the subject of a long running debate. It is down to the residents of the village to decide if they require street lights or not.
