Gary Fenwick, District Councillor, is an obsever at meetings.
Kevin Swallow, WLDC Project Officer.
Everyone is a volunteer. No-one is paid. The thousands of voluntary hours count towards the 'match-funding' sums required.

MRDT employs no staff at present but receives welcome assistance from WLDC's Market Rasen office.

West Lindsey District Council helped develop MRDT and brought in other partners to form the Rural Tourism Development Area Partnership. The RTDAP is tasked to deliver the £4.3 million package of measures to regenerate Market Rasen and its hinterland.
The partners are:-

Market Rasen Development Trust
West Lindsey District Council
Lincolnshire County Council
Lincolnshire Police
Countryside Agency
North Lincolnshire College
Lincoln Clinic (Lincolnshire NHS Trust)
Community Council of Lincolnshire
West Lincolnshire Primary Care Trust
Groundwork Lincolnshire

All the partners committed cash or time to 'match' the funds being applied for and a clearly written plan was prepared for each project detailing what the ?outcomes? would be.

WLDC became the 'Accountable Body' (a clearly defined trustworthy organisation that has the systems in place to manage large sums of money and bankroll projects) and bids were made to emda (East Midlands Development Agency) and 'Europe'.

For more details about the bid click here.

Both bids were successful thanks to the hard work and professionalism of Kevin Swallow and his WLDC team.
